The Beginning.

North America has an enthusiastic “German Festival Scene.” Gerhard had been a part of this, since the late 1970’s. Literally, decades of experience!

Founder, Gerhard Albinus, is a native German speaker and first generation American born to German parents.

In 2022, The Gerhard Albinus Band, had become an Alternative Rock Band. However, the Band desired to get back into the German Scene without taking away the momentum.

It was decided to keep the Gerhard Albinus Band name but produce an entirely different name for this endeavor.

The same musicians are in both Bands, which allows great flexibility. Adding to an expanded list of songs and Genres.

The Name Game Challenge.

What sounds great in German does not necessarily work in English. With much brainstorming and puzzle work, a name was born.

On Monday, September 31, 2022, the name, “The Überland Band”, meaning “Overland Band”, was created to be pronounceable and memorable.

Present.

The Überland Band is enjoying a good public demand. They are grateful for this and are gaining more and more venues and festivals!

Motto.

Each performance is treated as if it was the one and only, regardless the size of the audience!
Every listener is very important and dear!
